NBA Picks Against the Spread for Wednesday, March 4, 2020
A late run from the Toronto Raptors helped DFS and BETS to a 5-3 records in last’s night’s NBA Picks Against the Spread.
Up two left us feeling a little KC & The Sunshine Band.
Oh, that’s the way, uh-huh uh-huh
I like it, uh-huh, uh-huh
Another heavy night of hoops with nine games and nine plays will give us chance for some more ATS happy feet.
BOSTON CELTICS (-4) at CLEVELAND CAVALIERS Total 215.5
Yep, that line is right. Did LeBron decide to take his talent back to the Land overnight? Nah, the Celtics are coming an over-time loss to the Brooklyn Nets last night and many players are getting the night off. Jaysom Tatum is sick but expected to play. As long as he’s on the court, Boston should be able to get past the Cavs by a couple of buckets.
The PLAY: CELTICS -4
INDIANA PACERS at MILWAUKEE BUCKS (-11) Total 220.5
George Hill is out after getting kneed in the you know whats – cough, cough. If you didn’t see it, you are lucky. It hurt to watch. Milwaukee shouldn’t miss much of a beat with fill-in guard Eric Bledsoe. The Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo will be motivated after getting beatdown in Miami.
The PLAY: BUCKS -11
ORLANDO MAGIC at MIAMI HEAT (-6.5) Total 218.5
A possible letdown spot for the Heat following their aforementioned manhandling of Milwaukee, knee to the groin style. Our projections say the Heat should win a close one, but it’s 50/50 on who covers against the line. However, we do favor one side of the total.
The PLAY: OVER 218.5
UTAH JAZZ (-9) at NEW YORK KNICKS Total 219.5
Utah has started to shoot straight after losing a bunch at home following the All-Star break. Meanwhile, the young Knicks nearly snatched a loss from the jaws of victory versus the Houston Rockets. Ah, but the budding star RJ Barrett hit a key, late shot preserving the W. New York is 16-14 versus the total at MSG, we think they’ll add to that number tonight.
The PLAY: KNICKS +9
CHICAGO BULLS at MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES (-1.5) Total 223
The Bulls are starting to get healthy with multiple players returning to play limited minutes. Chitown just shocked the Dallas Mavericks at home, but it’s not as shocking as the Timberwolves earning the win at New Orleans last night. Personally, not a fan of ugly versus uglier, but the model says the number is right for one of the uglies.
The PLAY: TIMBERWOLVES -1.5
NEW ORLEANS PELICANS at DALLAS MAVERICKS (-6) Total 240
Zion, Ball and Ingram will try to put a bad loss on their court to the Timberwolves behind them tonight. It’s the same for the Mavericks, losing to the Bulls in Chicago. Dallas is close to a play versus the number but not by a wide enough margin to qualify. Instead, weary Pelican legs have us tilting to the total.
The PLAY: UNDER 240
WASHINGTON WIZARDS at PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS (-7.5) Total 243
Damian Lillard is expected to return the court following a few weeks off with a right groin. It’s not soon enough for the Blazers and their playoff hopes. Dame will be hyped, rested and ready to show his skills against a red-hot Bradley Beal. Although we see Portland landing the win in Lillard’s return, our projection says it’s too tight to the line. However, Lillard’s insertion back into the starting five may have pushed the total too high.
The PLAY: UNDER 243
